Summary The planning proposal seeks to amend Warringah LEP 2011 to rezone four parcels of land near Manly Creek, east of Manly Dam, in the vicinity of 'Mermaid Pool' in Manly Vale and Allambie Heights.

Council proposes to rezone the subject lands from Zone R2 Low Density Residential to Zone RE1 Public Recreation and remove principal development standards (height of building and minimum lot size) that currently apply.

Council resolved to submit the planning proposal to the Department at its meeting on 26 February 2019. The planning proposal was considered by Council's Local Planning Panel on 6 February 2019.
