Welcome to the Department’s Local Plan Making Tracking System.
The process of creating Local Environmental Plans (LEPs) starts with a planning proposal which in most cases is undertaken by your local council.
From 1 July 2009 proposals will be initially assessed by the Department to determine whether it has sufficient merit to proceed. This is called "The Gateway".
|
|
Before an LEP can be made community consultation takes place tailored to the impact of the particular proposal. Following these procedures the Minister can decide whether to make the new Plan.
|
The Planning Proposal Tracking allows you to access:
- Information on Planning Proposals that have been submitted to the Department.
- The "Gateway" determination including the reasons why the proposal has been allowed to continue or why it has been refused.
- The final determination of a Planning Proposal
